Traveling
Traveling has always been something I have absolutely loved doing. We grew up taking trips all the time. My parents made it a point to go somewhere every summer while we were out of school. Even if it was just a trip to Galveston or San Antonio, they made it a point to save and plan to bring us somewhere. My grandparents also loved traveling and took many trips abroad while I was growing up. We would always go over to their house the day or day after they returned from their trip to watch video footage they took, and then they would give us souvenirs they brought us from their travels. One of my favorites was a little camel that they brought us after their trip to Egypt. I will never forget that picture of my Grandmom riding a camel hehe! When I got to Texas A&M University, I joined the Wind Symphony, and my parents again provided me opportunities of a life time to travel with the band to Europe twice. Europe has such a special place in my heart, it is just such a neat combination of cultures and good food. I will never forget those memories of performing in a cathedral in Ireland and in open square in Austria. But growing up like this, I have a craving to GO somewhere, anywhere! My husband has put up with my obsession and has gotten on board with my travel craze hehe! We have been blessed to take a few trips together, my most memorable being Sydney, Australia, and he also let me travel to Singapore with one of my best friends. I truly hope to instill the same desire in my own children, because I believe that traveling opens your mind to different ways of living, and just changes your brain to crave new experiences! I started this page to try and consolidate some of my travel posts, so they would be a little more accessible and organized for anyone looking to travel to some of the places we have been. Hope you enjoy!
