This past weekend we went to Austin to see my cousin Adam and his wife Ashley! I just thought I would share a few pictures! We had a really good time with them, as usual, and went to great places to eat and had tons of fun with the pups. I visited Austin back in January to see little Zoe, Adam and Ashley's golden retriever, and it was crazy to see how big she is now! Back in January, Jacey wanted to play with her but wasn't really sure what to do because she was so small. Now they are pretty much the same size and had a blast wrestling and chasing each other around the whole weekend. We even took them to the lake/river (not sure what it's considered...) and let them jump in a swim around. I wish I could post the videos because it was super cute, but hopefully the pictures will do.
This was pretty much what these two goobers did this whole weekend! Wrestle mania! Zoe went for the ears and Jacey was the taunter with the toys. ;0)
The next two pictures are from back in January. Obviously things weren't quite the same this visit! Haha, so cute!
We got to Austin on Friday around 8:30, and after chatting for a while and letting the girls play, we decided to go to Mrs. Johnson's donuts for a snack. They were so yummy! The shop has been open for 50 years or so, but has obviously changed hands a few times because now Habib runs the place! We loved that he didn't change the name though!
Saturday, we took the pups out for a swim. It took Jacey about thirty minutes to finally get the hang of the swimming, she first didn't want to leave the little ledge but then saw all of the dogs having fun and tried it out. I pushed her off a couple of times and held her out so she would kick around and swim. After that she figured out how to kind of jump off and swim out to get a toy. We laughed because the other dogs jumped out into the water and she would kind of step off into the water all dainty like.
This is the "dainty" approach I was referring to haha... |
Her first swim! Such a proud parent! |
Cousin Pups! |
Her tail reminded me of Free Willy, it would go back and forth in the water while she swam! |
And of course, if you know me at all you know I am a big fan of ice cream, so we went to Amy's ice cream after the game. Again, super yummy!
Sunday morning, Jacey and I went on a walk and found this cute Cainine Cantina on the corner of someone's yard. We took a look. :0)
We went to church in San Marcos, met lots of nice people again and even got some fresh eggs and a watermelon! People would just bring their extra produce to church to share! It was so neat!
Of course Zoe wasn't ready for her friend to leave and jumped in the back seat of the car with Jacey. She was ready to take a road trip!
After a fun-filled weekend, Jacey was definitely pooped! She slept pretty much the whole night!
My before and after shot :0) |
